HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM

My mom is celebrating her eightieth birthday on November 28th, friends and family converged for an open house yesterday to toast our coolest octogenarian.
I took photos of nearly everyone in the carport with a simple white paper backdrop. Here's mom and granddaughter Rachael presented to you.

I love my studio

It isn't so very much really, it's uninsulated and constantly dusty from other construction projects (my rumsfeld dismantling machine works!) but it's a goodly amount of space, and even when it's too hot or too cold (10 days out of the year?) it's freakin jolly good. Tonight I fotograffed a friend of a friend (Martin) who's a designer by trade—see the rugs he designs here: http://www.delinear.com/ To my credit I made no jokes about the haves and the have knots.

It was lovely spending time with him and his partner and we got some good shots. Lovelier still: MY STUDIO--not that I appreciate darkly stained concrete more than people of flesh...

or maybe I do.
