ABC/Nightline steals a Bart Nagel photo—there'll be hell to pay

Enough hell, it is to be hoped, to buy a new laptop. Yes it seems a major news network finds it easier to download a photo from my website and not pay for it than to do a competent news report that isn't a perfect example of what the Daily Show parodies.
Markos Moulitsas, a recent photo subject and considered to be the most influential left wing blogger in the land (DailyKos) emailed me recently to let me know that ABC/Nightline used one of my photos of him on one of their reports. It is apparent that they simply downloaded the photo from my website since I haven't released that photo anywhere else. The most egregious aspect of the report aside from the cliched, sloppy, sensationalist copy and voice-over inflections was the replay of Howard Dean's otherwise innoucuous yelp at an election rally in 2003.
When I contacted them about the infraction, I was told "it was an accident" and was offered $200. Piffle—their accident was a deliberate theft, they even positioned my photo with a Markos quote from a Swedish magazine as though to imply it's Scandanavian provenance. You'll have a good laugh when you hear reporter Jack Tapper question Markos about his income and his new GRAND PIANO—Ed Helms could not do this better.
