Fare-thee-well for now, Jen and Ammar

Eswifé and I flew to DC last week to hang out with our friends Jen and Ammar and see them off to Tunesia. We had a ball shopping at the farmer's market on DuPont Circle, dining on Ethiopian food at Dukem on "U" street and visiting the National Portrait Gallery to see the Portrait Competition.


There was big family dinner at Charlotte & Ron's (Eswifé's aunt and uncle) where we were regaled with tales of Jen's world travels with Condi and cousin Camille's report and slideshow from Germany where she covered the World Cup for the Washington Post. Charlotte, Ron and the Dairy Queen Mother provided a beautiful and tasty dinner with Ron's beers from around the world.



We stayed at the Topaz Hotel. They had animal print bathrobes.
